Rack to bottling bucket with priming solution

After the priming solution has cooled to room temperature, it's time to transfer your beer to the bottling bucket. This is simply a food-grade plastic bucket that features a spigot near the base to make bottling easy.

Use your auto-siphon and tubing to gently rack the beer. Remember, you want to keep this process nice and smooth, avoiding splashing as much as possible. Some splashing is inevitable, but a quiet transfer means less oxygen to spoil your beer.

As the beer is moving to the bottling bucket, gently pour the sugar solution into it. When all the beer has been transferred, remove the siphon equipment and raise the bottling bucket up to a tabletop or counter top that's above the area where you plan to fill bottles.

Allow the primed beer to sit for 5 minutes or so. This will give any particulates time to settle to the bottom, as well as time for the priming solution to evenly diffuse throughout the beer.
