Great Introduction to brewing

Outside of ad-hoc Youtube videos and various brewery tours, this was the first end-to-end course I've taken on brewing beer. I found it extremely helpful and easy to follow. It was a perfect outline of the general process with some added tips and options along the way. I would highly recommend this course to anyone who is even just interested in how the brewing process works.

I wish I had watched this several years ago, as I was starting out. I could have avoided some mistakes and some just less-than-optimal results. Steve presented everything clearly but in a relaxed style that avoids the anxiety that this hobby can engender. Even now, I've learned some things and will be trying some different equipment to hopefully improve my consistency.

I wish I'd watched this first

I've brewed my first batch of beer. It was an extract kit and I followed the directions to a tee. However, the directions were very rudimentary, and lacked many of the details this video provided. After watching this, I'm pretty nervous about cracking that first bottle in about a week!

Good solid introduction

I've made one batch of purely extract beer before loking at this course, and from the content I can see the things I've done correctly ad also some simple mistakes I made. The beer from this first batch was abolutely fine, but I have high hopes of a better second batch after working through teh course. maybe next I'll buy the pot etc. for some grain steeping too.

Excellent content and well presented. I have brewed several beers and just recently had some not so good results. This back to basics course has shown me the error of my ways. I plan to brew another beer very soon and implement what I have re-learned!! Thank you

I have been interested in brewing for a just a couple days now and have been watching Youtube videos, which are great and I've learned a lot from but I felt like I was missing information more than often. As someone who is very new to brewing sometimes I felt unsure about the differing opinions in the brewing steps. Sometimes brewers did things slightly different and as a new guy to something that seems as sensitive as brewing some how made it feel intimidating. I think what this course did better than all of those videos is it really treats you like someone who is new to the game, sometimes other brewers will use terms without giving a description and then I have to stop and look it up or the entire step sounds like a foreign language. With this course it really took the time to describe and highlight terms that are important, also adding in what other brewers may call it. This felt like a well organized and considered course instead of a video of someone brewing. Super excited to learn more, the year/all-access subscription is already feeling worth it.

I figured I'd give this a test run before watching any of the other courses to see if it was something I might enjoy. the course was well detailed and even made me think of a few things that I haven't thought of in the past. A good overview of the whole process with video examples certainly helped me to understand how a brewing session works.

The texts gave good explanations of all the process step by step and also what all the brewing specific terms meant.

Great course!!!

Most simplest explanation I've come across

Ive done alot of research into home brewing whilst starting out, and I mean alot. Just when you think one video has it all worked out, you go to put it into practice and you find you have so many more questions. This video covers it all. Rather than having to harass my local home brew supply store this course answered all the questions that a new home brewer will most likely have. Very well presented and explained. Highly recommended.
