What it is: Amid all the different takes on pizza these days, Jersey Boys Pizzeria—as the name implies—focuses on the New Jersey–style, with a thinner, crisper crust than New York’s. Just what you’d expect to find in central Oregon, right? It also functions as a casual sports bar with restaurant seating, high-top tables, and plenty of TVs for watching your favorite teams while trying to decide on a beer. Jersey Boys is the first taproom in Redmond and has by far the most taps there, less than 20 miles north of Bend—an area known for world-class breweries and beer.

Why it’s great: The bar features 50 taps pouring a broad selection that balances breweries from central Oregon, the Pacific Northwest, and across the country. There’s always a featured beer on special, plus daily happy-hour deals from 2 to 5 p.m. Their pizza menu is almost as prolific, with signatures such as Da Ba-Da-Bing, a red-sauce pie with all da meats, or Jeb’s Special, a white-sauce pie with peanut sauce, chicken, and pesto. Rounding it all out are salads, vegetarian dishes, sharable apps, and build-you-own pizzas. They don’t do flights, but they do half-pours and pitchers to share.
