Besides Cold Cutz, Grand Fir also picked up WBC bronze medals in American-Style Strong Ale and American-Style Wheat Beer, plus another for Amber Lager at the most recent Great American Beer Festival.

For Cold Cutz, Burnside says the blend of Weyermann malts provides a clean yet flavor-enhancing foundation on which to feature bright Citra and Krush hops. For more on dialing in the aromas of your West Coast–style pilsner and other hop-forward lagers, see Solving for Sulfur in Hoppy Lager.
