What Our Editors Thought
A slightly muddied nose captures a classic pale feel. The sip is a touch grainy and loose, allowing more fermentation character to push forward and compete with the hops.
What Our Panel Thought
Earthy, herbal, grassy hop aroma with mild fruit and light toasty malt. In the flavor, nice balance between assertive hop bitterness, earthy-piney hop flavor, and toasty-bread malt. Super drinkable. Lasting bitterness. Could enjoy several. This hits the numbers.
What the Brewers Say
A uniquely balanced and bright pale ale that owes a bit to Dutchess Ales’ West Cost and U.K. roots. Fermented by Duchess Ales’ house hybrid Kölsch yeast.
