What Our Panel Thought
Aroma: “Fruity, nutty, tart. Pleasant overall. There’s some underlying spice character to add to the complexity.”
Flavor: “Cherry caramel sweetness up front with a soft, rounded tartness on the finish. More apple-sour than puckering sour cherry. Lingering umami chewiness on the finish. Some slight vanilla notes.”
Overall: “Distinctive cherry character, with a nutty, slightly spicy finish. Well-balanced throughout.”
What the Brewers Say
“Bzart Kriekenlambiek originates from the merger of two glorious traditions—the ‘Méthode Traditionnelle’ (traditional method) for sparkling wines and the spontaneous fermentation for lambic beers. The result is a natural, sparkling cherry lambic of Belgian origin.”
