“Rich caramel malt, smooth alcohol, and pleasant hints of vanilla, treacle, whiskey, and spicy barrel. Oak with a moderate char provides balancing tannins and peppery spice with a touch of cinnamon. Nothing fancy about this blue-collar barleywine, as it delivers malt, alcohol, bourbon, barrel, and a buzz. Well-executed.”
