What Our Editors Thought
“Dried hay and wildflower in the aroma with subtle green herbs and a bit of grilled corn. Lighter in the sip than expected, just a touch of woody and dry toasted malt with a sparkling carbonation that highlights the very light floral-hop high notes. Nimble yet grounded.”
What Our Panel Thought
“Burnished gold with an off-white head. Enjoyable hint of sulfur. Aroma of light toast, a hint of caramel sweetness, red-apple ester, and light floral Noble hops. Sweet bread and biscuit malt flavors, with lighter Noble hops. Medium bitterness. Finishes semidry with a hint of malt sweetness. Surprisingly crisp for how much malt flavor is present.”
What the Brewers Say
“Franconian-style landbier. Grist of Weyermann Isaria 1924 and Vienna. Hopped with Seitz Farm Hersbrucker and whole-leaf Hallertauer Tradition. Impeccable balance between layered malt character and firm herbal-floral hop notes.”
