What Our Panel Thought
Aroma: “Intensely rich tropical fruitiness. The guava really stands out, including the overripe/footy character you often get from it. Pleasant underlying lemony tartness.”
Flavor: “Complex tropical fruity tartness, though not overpowering. The salt on the finish adds a nice mineral softness and cuts the puckering quality of the sourness. Not much in the way of barrel character, but maybe a slight tannic dryness at the end.”
Overall: “Huge tropical fruit with a pleasant underlying tartness with a soft finish.”
What the Brewers Say
“Tequila barrel-aged sour with blood orange puree, guava puree, limes, and salt.”
