What Our Editors Thought
Subtle orange and light toasty malt on the nose edge slightly away from the classic approach. On the sip, a strong orange-like note with strong, pithy bitterness and a touch of herbal spice offer structure to offset the bigger body. Retro-futurist.
What Our Panel Thought
Almost clear; persistent head. Big, sweet malt-and-fruit aroma—pink lemonade and a hint of dank. Flavor brings grapefruit-orange interplay, pleasant tangerine, sharp malt, with a nice middle hit of bitterness; rye adds complexity. Balance leans sweet.
What the Brewers Say
Rye pale ale lightly dry hopped with Simcoe and Michigan Cascade.
