What Our Panel Thought
Aroma: “Strong raspberry character—fruity but not overly sweet, with a pleasant nutty undertone from the raspberry seeds. Light tartness, a bit of woodsy character as it warms up.”
Flavor: “Following the initial pleasant sourness, pleasantly tart raspberries emerge. The raspberry accentuates the fermentation character. Light, refreshing.”
Overall: “Raspberry sweet/tart/sour swizzle with a light aroma. Subtle notes of oak, melon, and pear emerge as it warms up. A little more carbonation would have made this a real treat and complemented the crystal-clear pink color, making this beer a rosé-lover’s dream come true.”
What the Brewers Say
“Mischief Managed is the first in our series of Berliner weisses. This version is aged in sauvignon blanc barrels on raspberries. Tart, crisp, and clean, this ruby-hued Berliner weisse is refreshingly dry.”
