What Our Editors Thought
Apple, pear, and caramel gradually give way to a raspberry note buzzing with spicy tannin. The sip leads with a bracing lemon lactic acidity that’s only partially buffered by the impression of apple and pear sweetness that quickly follows. A drying mineral note on the finish helps cleanse the palate, but the shock of acid intensity is burned into your immediate sense memory.
What Our Panel Thought
Fleshy raspberry nose, fresh, macerated, vibrant. Note of darkish molasses-like caramel. Juicy, lively, tart, full of fresh raspberry flavor that bends to a savory umami flavor. Exciting fruit character, juicy and pulpy, but the acidity leans harsh on repeat sips.
What the Brewers Say
Oak-aged sour brown ale refermented with raspberries.
