What Our Editors Thought
Toasted bread nose with a dark caramel element. A light cacao-like bitterness runs through the sip, and a round but unsweet caramel note pops in then fades gently into the finish. Chooses subtlety over flash.
What Our Panel Thought
Good head. Retains well. Toasty, but with a fresh, grainy undercurrent and a hint of caramel. The flavor keeps that fresh-toasted malt as its centerpiece, decorating it with a hint of spicy hops and a delicate bitterness. The finish is crisp and clean like a simply crafted Shaker chair.
What the Brewers Say
“The people’s lager!” We used all German ingredients for this mild, amber, malty beer.
