What Our Editors Thought
"Intense aroma with a tropical fruit skin and solvent punch, or passionfruit that's pushed to the border of plastic. Gentler in the sip with a semi-full body that supports the hops well, finishes dry and peppery."
What Our Panel Thought
"Tropical, fruity aroma of white grapes, pineapple, stone fruit. Almost smells like real fruit at first. Earthy citrus and woody pine notes in the aroma create a nose that is inviting with a light diesel note dancing in the background. Clean, crisp hop bitterness smoothed by lightly sweet malt body. The sip is dry and crisp with a nice clean malt body, but it lacks a definable hop character with the bitterness coming across more monotone and boring than lively and nuanced. Finish is crisp and refreshing. Quite assertively flavored for a pils, but as the beer sits the flavors merge into a coherent whole."
What the Brewers Say
"Brewed with 100% Rabbit Hill malt, decoction mashed, and appropriately lagered. Nelson Sauvin, Riwaka, and Motueka hops, Bright. Zesty. Lively."
