What Our Editors Thought
Soft and powdery peach and nectarine nose is captivating in its subtlety, with small flashes of fruit adding bright aromatic hits. The sip brings a gentle but firm acidity that amplifies the fruit notes, but the lemony acidity tends to take center stage and push the other fruits to the periphery. Subtle, at the expense of hooks that draw you in.
What Our Panel Thought
The nose suggests dried peaches. Subtle funk-forward acidity. A bit of potpourri-like woodiness carries forward into the flavor where the peachiness is a more pronounced but is more like peach fruit leather. Light funky tannic bitterness from Brett. The bitter, astringent wood character is a detractor, dominating the finish.
What the Brewers Say
Golden sour aged in oak barrels with white peaches and white nectarines.
