What Our Editors Thought
"Classic orange and pine IPA notes in the aroma offer a disconnect with the hazy body. Piney bitterness with a musty forest note in the sip combined with the hefty body weighs it down and reduces the drinkability the style needs."
What Our Panel Thought
"Grapefruit notes jump out of the aroma and are coupled with hints of lemon, orange marmalade and light pine. The murky body comes across heavy with a fullness you may not expect in a lager. The malt sweetness capably balances the bitterness but that bitterness is a bit simple and young/green with hints of earthy pine seeming to dominate. It lacks a crispness and cleanness in the finish that most in this style possess."
What the Brewers Say
"Pours pale gold, featuring a thin lacy white head. The front of the nose has pine w/ lingering citrus in the background. The flavor is similar to the aroma, w/ lots of pine upfront w/ citrus and a slightly bready character lingering finish. Med/light body w/ high carbonation and enough bitterness to balance the malty sweetness. A clean and refreshing lager version of an American IPA."
