What Our Editors Thought
“Light Belgian fermentation esters in the aroma with a woody edge and a deeper peppery phenolic note. Cherry is more accent note than focus in the sip, dry but vinous.”
What Our Panel Thought
“Tart cherry aroma with hints of apple and vanilla, a wisp of herbs and saison yeast, and a restrained hop bitterness. On the tongue, the cherry comes across more like rich, chewy, fruit leather. A bit of black tea–like tannins, a touch of marjoram. Medium mouthfeel.”
What the Brewers Say
“Belgian pale ale aged on cherries in an American oak chardonnay barrel.”
