What Our Panel Thought

Aroma: “Complex acidic and tangy tart character, wheaty and fruity. Sweet malt and moderate sourness. Smells like tannic raspberries. Some Shredded Wheat-like cereal notes.”

Flavor: “Fruity sweet, lemon, and citrus. Bright lactic acid gives a nice, tart bite, while the wheat base provides sweetness. Moderate bitterness is well complemented by the berries. No hops flavor. Effervescent finish, but the flavor is a bit flatter than expected.”

Overall: “A beautifully crafted, enjoyable, fruity wheat beer. Light and refreshing. Fruit addition is nice and doesn’t overpower the other flavors. Very tart and slightly tannic. Could use a bit more blueberry aroma.”

What the Brewers Say

“OMG! It’s JUSTIN BLÅBÆR!!! If you have ‘Blåbær Fever,’ then this is the only cure. We stuffed so many blueberries into this beer, it’s going to make you shout, ‘Oh, Baby!’ A collaboration among Evil Twin Brewing, Westbrook Brewing Co., and The Charleston Beer Exchange.”
