The Chicago-based research firm IRI tracks beer sales through major retailers, providing a snapshot at any given moment of trends, market dynamics, and growing or fading styles and brands. Here are the top 30 craft brands (note, IRI’s definition of craft is not the same as the definition used by the Brewers Association) based on total dollar sales within IRI-tracked sales channels over the preceding 52 weeks ending on May 15, 2022. This is not the entirety of sales for any particular brand, as IRI tracks only about 15 percent of craft beer’s total sales volume, but it’s a useful way to look at what craft-beer drinkers are buying.
