What Our Editors Thought
“Light caramel and malt sweetness play alongside notes of orange and soft cocoa, while a pine-like bitterness provides contrast. Moderate carbonation keeps the finish crisp and welcoming.”
What Our Panel Thought
“Bready, spicy malt jumps out in the nose, as a slightly toasty, lightly sweet character sits behind it; a faint note of soft, herbal hops follows. Medium-low bitterness just balances the deep bread, light toast, and caramel malt characters. There’s a slight key-lime flavor to the hops, and modest orange, coming and going quickly with an off-dry finish. Slightly malty, but the dryness keeps the drinkability high.”
What the Brewers Say
“Amber lager brewed with corn, inspired by ‘America’s oldest brewery.’”
