What Our Editors Thought
Nose of Thai basil, cucumber, lemongrass, and barnyard—funky, intriguing, with herbal-spice backbone in a fresh, crisp line. The sip trades clarity for general fruitiness, citrusy and tart—not quite fulfilling the aroma’s promise. But figuring it out is a delicious chore.
What Our Panel Thought
Wildly complex aroma: ginger, lime, tart cherry, cinnamon, cardamom, apple pie, vanilla. Tart flavor up front, bright and lively, passing through delicate malt to a spicy, funky finish. All those flavors pass quickly, leaving a hole that only more of this beer can fill. Quite the ride.
What the Brewers Say
Farmhouse ale brewed with lavender, rosemary, and spearmint, and re-fermented with fresh-pressed watermelon juice.
