What Our Editors Thought
Soft, light, and sweet with tobacco and licorice notes on the nose that carry through in the flavor. It’s a bit vague and shapeless as the body wades through the various flavor notes.
What Our Panel Thought
Aroma is incredibly chocolate-forward, reminiscent of chocolate walnut brownies mixed with bourbon fudge and a touch of leathery sherry oxidation. Taste is incredibly nutty, with minimal roast astringency. Slightly out of balance with a sweet smooth finish.
What the Brewers Say
A massively rich imperial milk stout, full of chocolate, that has a smooth warming finish with just a hint of smoke.
