What Our Editors Thought
Simple toasted bread in the nose plays down the light body and gentle balance of woody hops and lightly sweet malt in the sip. As it lingers, the hops gather steam, for a crisp finish that invites another sip.
What Our Panel Thought
Low, doughy malt aroma. Flavor puts rich, bready malt up front with light, spicy hop and a pear ester. Softly sweet, medium-bodied—there is comforting heft here. Low, spicy bitterness. Clean, round and balanced. Big, malty finish dries out and demands further gulps.
What the Brewers Say
Pale gold German lager with a bready and grainy malt character that starts in the aroma and lasts all the way through the finish.
