What Our Editors Thought
Bourbon and old oak punctuate the nose. On first sip, it’s intensely and overbearingly sweet, but with famili-arity comes more nuance, and ensuing sips bring out the roasty notes that offer a ponderous but elegantly refined experience.
What Our Panel Thought
Bourbon and maple syrup aromas. Big, bold body filled with lots of residual sugar, bourbon, maple-syrup notes, and dark chocolate covered cherries. The flavors finish into a cohesive blend of barrel-aged decadence that is definitely heading into desert beer territory.
What the Brewers Say
Aged in Heaven Hill and Four Roses bourbon barrels and Woodford Rye whiskey barrels.
