Malt is to beer as grapes are to wine, as honey is to mead, and as apples are to cider. It supplies the sugars that yeast cells convert into alcohol and carbon dioxide. Without malt, beer as we know it would not be. In this course, you'll gain a deeper understanding of what's often called the soul of beer--malt.

This is a great, short introduction course that helps give you just enough information to understand the raw ingredients and processes in malting.
Informative and give good basic information about malting process. Also some good hints when selecting and buying malts, like moisture content, malt extract potential, etc.
I never imagined so much went into malt.
